While reflections was being fabricated at Tany, Mr. Bellaver spent nearly a year, mostly at Custom Welding in St. Charles, fabricating 1970, which was installed and dedicated in October, 2014. It was a wonderful public art project.
1970 won a nationwide search for Washington & Jefferson College’s 1970 Commemorative Public Art Competition, to design and execute a “work of art commissioned to celebrate the myriad changes that occurred during the 1970 academic year.”
